Three Ropes for Happiness

The Power of Art & Mind

Three Ropes for Happiness is more than an art sculpture.

Created and built by German artist may-art, it represents:

– An anchor

– A path to yourself

– A daily reminder pointing to where happiness will be found.

The moment when the idea began to take shape

For a long time, I didn’t notice how fast I was moving.

Until one quiet, almost unnoticeable moment changed everything.

Maybe you know it too -
when you sit for a minute, but your body still feels like it’s running;
when your thoughts jump faster than you can catch them;
when you’re physically here, but mentally somewhere between yesterday and tomorrow.

In that moment, I realized:
I didn’t need another tip, another app, another “productivity hack.”

I needed a pause.
A breath.
A small anchor for my attention.

Something real, tangible, and simple that could help me come back to myself, even for a few seconds.

A quiet companion for micro-meditations, those 10-15 second pauses that let the mind settle, soften stress, and bring a sense of calm.

Something that invites, not demands.

Three Ropes Sculpture

Where Happiness Takes Shape

Created from natural materials, the art sculpture is built around symbols of happiness.

The number three stands for harmony, and the rope - designed to be touched and held - invites connection, reminding us of what truly matters.

The Ritual - Where and How

Where:
The sculpture is meant to live on the wall, placed at the height of the hand - not too high, not too low, easy to reach, in a place you pass by every day.

How:
As you walk past, pause for a moment, smile, and gently pull the ropes.

Bring your attention to the texture beneath your fingers. When you reach the knot, hold it gently in your hand.

Pause there.

In that pause, think of the people, moments, and small things that bring happiness into your life.

The essence of the sculpture is expressed through three simple actions: feeling, thinking, and happiness.

In the moment you connect with it, these come together, revealing its true secret.

Das Wesen von Three Ropes for Happiness
